Lol Jinx Why Did She Not Have Blue Hair in the Trailer
Who's Who
Every 'League of Legends' Champion Who Appears in 'Arcane'
The champions who propelled the story along in 'Arcane,' all in one lane.

Riot Games took a chance with its first full-length animated series, Arcane. A fantastical tale that explores the backstories of champions and League of Legends mainstays Jinx and Vi, Arcane is more than just an adaptation of the popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game. The uber-popular adventure series breathes life into characters and mythical continents that once only existed in in-game lore and the occasional adjacent media (such as Legends of Runeterra and Valorant), expanding the LoL universe in ways that it never has before.
A number of League of Legends champions make appearances throughout Arcane, whether they're prominent characters or simply appear on the periphery of the story. Having trouble keeping them straight, or new to the world of League and want to get to know everyone a little better? Ahead, we've compiled a handy list to help you sort it all out.
Powder/Jinx
Arcane simply wouldn't be Arcane without this firecracker of a champion. We meet this young blue-haired girl at the very beginning of the series as she walks with her older sister Vi. Powder goes through hell to become the character we know as Jinx when she's older: the loose cannon with a mischievous grin and an arsenal of killer weapons just as maniacal as she is. Watching her transform and embrace this new identity is a major part of the series, so no spoilers, but you'll get to know her extremely well throughout Arcane's entirety.
Vi
Vi, otherwise known as Violet, is Powder's older sister and protector. Though nowhere near as volatile as her younger sister, Vi is hotheaded and fearsome — a champion you should watch out for. She's more likely to solve problems with her fists than talk them out, and she's fiercely protective of Powder. At the end of the series, she and her sister will be radically different people, but their journey together is worth watching. Vi's also a champion you'll want to add to your rotation in League.
Caitlyn
Peacekeeper Caitlyn is a champion who works hard to keep the city of Piltover safe from criminals. She also happens to be Vi's partner in crime, and the "Cupcake" Vi often refers to. She's dangerously intelligent and works to trap those who break the law by outwitting them. She's also, like her nickname implies, very sweet. She adds a dynamic ingredient to the concoction that is Arcane, however, especially as Jinx grows into a criminal and Caitlyn works to stop lawbreakers.
Ekko
We meet Ekko as a young boy in Arcane, but in LoL he's a time manipulator who uses a special piece of tech he created known as the Z-Drive. With that type of gift, he has the ability to go back and redo anything he made a mistake on initially. That totally makes it seem like he's able to do just about anything perfectly. Of course, we ultimately come to know him as the boy who shattered time, a storyline that Arcane later explores to startling effect.
Jayce
The inventor champion Jayce makes an appearance in Arcane, but our first glimpse of him in Episode 2 is that of a dazed and confused young man. Still, the hextech hammer-user is a necessary addition to the show's cast, especially when it comes to showcasing the more valorous side of Piltover. Not only is he a revered name throughout the city, but he's a natural hero, and everyone knows it, given his propensity for leadership and benevolent spirit. But his sharp mind and amazing inventions make it unfair for anyone else in his way.
Singed
This character looks markedly different than he does within the realm of League of Legends, but that's likely for good reason. In LoL, he's depicted as a mad chemist clad with potions and weapons, ready to ruin someone's (or your opponent's) day. In Arcane, Singed still has his signature bald head, pointy nose and larger forehead, but he's a far cry from the dark, villainous masked champion many know him as in the game.
Heimerdinger
This yordle scientist is small but mighty. Just like Jayce, he's an ultra-talented inventor who's just a bit neurotic. He's managed to create some of the most innovative parts of Piltover society, as well as a host of different weapons and tools the citizens find themselves using often. We see the tiny champion visiting Jayce, who's found himself in a detention cell, in Episode 8. For anyone who routinely uses Heimerdinger in the video game, this is a welcome sight in Arcane.
Teemo
One of the cutest yordles of all time appears in Episode 6, though he isn't actually up and walking around. The instantly recognizable mascot-like character from League is small in stature but larger-than-life when it comes to personality and spunkiness. Unfortunately, there haven't been any direct interactions with him in Arcane just yet, but seeing him as part of picture books gives us hope that he could potentially pop up at some point down the line.
Ryze
The Rune Mage Ryze looks a lot different in Arcane than in League. He appears during a desperate moment between Jayce and his mother in Episode 2, creating an important and stark debt that may require swift repayment one day. The sorcerer typically rocks deep-blue skin, a massive amount of arcane power and the desire to find World Runes in the darkness, as one of the saviors of Runeterra. He may not get a ton of screen time, but he's still an important character in the Arcane and League mythos.
Kindred
Kindred is split into two halves: the twin essences of death, to be exact. They go by two names, Lamb and Wolf. Typically, they're spirits representing death as eternal hunters, taking the form of ancient masks carved by unknown hands. Caitlyn and Vi have a special moment in Episode 5 where they see Kindred in human form. It's unclear what Kindred's intentions are at the moment, but it's certainly a cool scene to see them stop in the mortal world, even if only briefly.
Viktor
The young, wild-eyed idealist Viktor is at his most innocent in Arcane, and he's nearly unrecognizable. We see him working together with Jayce to make progress on his hextech invention, and they get along fine — but these moments don't usually last. In League, Viktor is a much more terrifying presence, with a considerable amount of augments. Seeing how he ends up becoming like the League version of himself is sure to be a wild ride.
